Flekkefjord – charming coastal town full of atmosphere

Flekkefjord is a cosy coastal town where history, nature and a relaxed atmosphere come together. The centre is known for its white wooden houses, the small harbour and the inviting shopping streets filled with little boutiques and cafés. It’s a lovely place to wander around, sit by the water or simply enjoy the peaceful vibe.

A special part of its history is the connection with the Netherlands: in the 16th and 17th centuries, Dutch traders were very active in Flekkefjord, and their influence can still be seen today in the architecture and street names.

Also worth visiting are the Flekkefjordbanen, the old railway line where you can ride railbikes through tunnels and along fjords — a unique experience for all ages.
